This dataset presents as an example dataset to test run the GEDICorrect framework for precise GEDI geolocation correction using small-footprint ALS data. This dataset contains 2 vital components to correct GEDI geolocation: GEDI L1B/L2A Merged and Vertical Datum offset corrected ALS point cloud The GEDI file is ready to use as is, however, the user must process the .laz dataset for conversion to .las (.laz -> .las). The framework currently does not support ".laz" files. To do this, the user must run the helper script presented at 'utils/convert_las.py' (https://github.com/leonelluiscorado/GEDICorrect/blob/main/utils/convert_las.py). Please follow the instructions of the script. Make sure you have atleast ~200GB available for conversion on your local system. For more information, please follow the instructions provided in the framework: https://github.com/leonelluiscorado/GEDICorrect/tree/main For further questions, please contact us at leonel.corado@uevora.pt , we will be happy to assist you.
