
This report presents the findings of inspection visits undertaken by Dr S. K. Kakade, who was then serving as the President in charge of the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Maharashtra. Over a period of 73 days, Dr Kakade visited all 46 consumer commissions across the state, conducting a comprehensive review of their functioning, infrastructure, and efficiency. The observations recorded during these visits form the basis of this report, which concludes with a set of suggestions and recommendations aimed at strengthening the consumer redressal system in Maharashtra.
