NOMAD OASIS: Dezentrales Forschungsdatenmanagement für Chemie und Physik in der MPG

Abstract

This talk took place on October 28, 2025, as part of the seventh workshop on "Forschungsdatenmanagement in der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft". Abstract: Wir geben einen Überblick über Workflows für Forschungsdatenmanagement mit der NOMAD-Plattform an mehreren Max-Planck-Instituten aus den Bereichen Chemie und Physik. Im Fokus steht die effiziente Handhabung umfangreicher Metadaten und großer Datensätze nach FAIR-Prinzipien. NOMAD OASIS ermöglicht als dezentrale Lösung die lokale Verwaltung, Analyse und gemeinsame Nutzung von Daten, ohne dass große Datensätze verschoben werden müssen. Instrumenteninventare und Probenmetadaten werden mit Messungen verknüpft, wodurch eine vollständige Rückverfolgbarkeit und Historie über den gesamten Forschungsdatenzyklus gewährleistet wird. Cloud-basierte Analysetools ermöglichen fortgeschrittene Analysen, ohne dass große Datenmengen verschoben werden müssen, und verbessern die Teilbarkeit der Daten. Durch standardisierte Schnittstellen und flexible Anpassung an lokale Forschungsbedürfnisse schafft NOMAD OASIS eine interoperable und nachhaltige Dateninfrastruktur innerhalb der MPG.
