El español y la música en España: de exportar voces a importar éxitos

Abstract

El informe El español y la música en España: de exportar voces a importar éxitos, elaborado por Lourdes Moreno Cazalla y publicado por el Observatorio Nebrija del Español (Universidad Nebrija), analiza la evolución del consumo musical en España entre 2005 y 2024 a partir de más de 54.000 canciones y 714 listas de éxitos de ventas, radio, Spotify y YouTube. El estudio muestra cómo el español se ha consolidado como lengua dominante del mercado musical, con un promedio del 70 % de canciones en español y un máximo histórico del 81 % a partir de 2018. España ha pasado de exportar su propio “sonido pop” a integrarse en un ecosistema transnacional liderado por la música urbana latina. El informe examina además el impacto del streaming, la aceleración del consumo, el protagonismo femenino y la transformación cultural derivada de las nuevas dinámicas digitales. Este trabajo completa la trilogía iniciada por la autora con El boom de la música urbana latina (2024) y La música en español en Estados Unidos (2025).
