The Sudlow Review, commissioned in May 2023 by the Chief Medical Officer for England, NHS England, and the UK National Statistician, examined how health data can be used safely and effectively to benefit society. Members of the public were involved alongside other stakeholders to ensure public voices informed the Review. This poster outlines how members of the public were involved, presents key workshop findings illustrated through anonymised stories, and explains how these insights, together with other evidence, informed the Sudlow Review’s recommendations (summarised here). These recommendations reflect public priorities and provide a model for embedding public involvement in national health data policy.
