Abstract

[320] A ciência cidadã permite que pessoas que circulam em Unidades de Conservação façam registros que podem ajudar a compreender melhor a biodiversidade presente. O Parque Estadual da Baleia (PEB) e seus arredores protegem áreas de ecótone entre Cerrado e Mata Atlântica, porém, não há levantamento local da biodiversidade. O objetivo deste estudo é usar registros de ciência cidadã inseridos no aplicativo do iNaturalist como fonte de dados para caracterizar a biodiversidade do PEB e arredores. 

Citizen science allows people visiting Protected Areas to record information that can help us better understand the biodiversity. Parque Estadual da Baleia (PEB) and its surrounding areas protect ecotones between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest, but there are no local biodiversity surveys. The objective of this study is to use citizen science records entered into the iNaturalist app as a data source to characterize the biodiversity of PEB and its surrounding areas.
