Deliverable D2.1 focuses on integrating Lean Construction Resource Planning principles with digital technology Building Information Modelling to optimize resource use, minimize waste, and report and reduce carbon footprints on construction sites. Within the Task 2.1 Lean construction resource planning, the perspectives of the general contractor and the material producer were taken into account to develop concepts of active waste reduction during construction work. This led to the development digital tools: a BIM-integrated plug-in for concrete ordering, streamlining the process from order to delivery, and enabling real-time tracking of the carbon footprint associated with concrete. This is achieved via innovative connection of Digital Delivery Tickets with BIM model. Additionally, a functionality was developed in Circular Potential Information Management platform to allow automatized parametrisation of a model in open-standards environment. By leveraging data from Environmental Product Declarations, integrating them with existing documents and BIM tools, the project demonstrates the potential for automated, real-time carbon reporting and waste reduction, ultimately promoting sustainability in the construction sector.
