plan.research-data.no collaboration: Norwegian Data Management Plan DSW Knowledge Model

Abstract

Background information Adaption of Data Management Plan (DMP) DSW Knowledge Models and export template developed in the Norwegian collaboration project plan.research-data.no.This collaboration between the University of Bergen, The Norwegian University of Science and Technology, the University of Oslo, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, PhD-On-Track and ELIXIR Norway originates from the project Data Management Plans: Support package for Norwegian higher education libraries, supported by the National Library of Norway. The resources are to be used with the DMP tools Data Stewardship Wizard (Open Source) or FAIR Wizard (software-as-a-service). They are also available through the DSW registry or the FAIR Wizard Registry.Accompanying information resources to the Knowledge Models are available under: plan.research-data.no: DMP Supporting Information. Changelog v1.1.0, 2025-10-20: Knowledge Model revision Revision of the Norwegian DSW Knowledgel Model after piloting, migrated to metamodel 18 and parent knowledge model dsw:lifesciences:2.6.13 Lean export template migrated to metamodel 17 v1.0.1, 2025-01-10: Metamodel update Both knowledge models were rebased to dsw:lifesciences:2.6.8 to reduce dependencies and migrated to metamodel 17 Lean export template migrated to metamodel 16 v1.0.0, 2024-11-24: Version for public launch Two knowledge models: Norwegian DSW Knowledgel Model, Norwegian Pre-project DSW Knowledge Model Leaner version of Questionnaire Report export template Description Norwegian DSW Knowledge Model ID: research.data.no:norway-generic:1.1.0 Version: 1.1.0 Metamodel: 18 Domain-agnostic Knowledge Model developed as part of the Data Management Planning resources available under plan.research-data.no. Adapted from the Life Science DSW Knowledge Model originated from mindmap made by Rob Hooft. Parts of the considerations under 'List software/computational models/simulations that you will generate' are re-used from the Elixir Software Management Plan CC-BY 4.0 Question tags can be combined in a modular way: Minimum: Questionnaire for less complex projects without personal/sensitive data, external partners, or external funding RCN/ Science Europe: Comprehensive questionnaire according to the RCN/ Science Europe recommendations (if combined with ELSI) ELSI: Additional questions for projects with ethical, legal, social implications HPC: Additional questions for computationally demanding projects Additional question tags (for internal use within the project or the institution or customizing project templates): umbrella DMP, cross institutional project, maDMP, IT security, Horizon Europe Changes in v1.1.0 Revision by plan.research-data.no editorial team after piloting the knowledge model. Changes include: Bugfixes and minor changes in the flow based on user feedback All references to institutional guidelines and policies in the knowledge model replaced with integration questions Improved (ROR, FairSharing, DataCite search) and new (ORCID, OMICS DI search, zenodo licenses, institutional guidelines and policies) integration configurations. All integrations migrated to Knowledge Model API Integration v2 Migrated to parent Life Sciences DSW Knowledge Model 2.6.13 Usage notes The FAIRsharing API integration requires an authentication token Institutional guidelines and policies integrations point to an external location Questionnaire Report - lean ID: research.data.no:questionnaire-report-lean:2.16.0 Version: 2.16.0 Metamodel: 17Fork of the generic default template for Data Stewardship Wizard (DSW) that directly transforms answers from a questionnaire into a document while maintaining the structure. It is not tied to any knowledge model. This is a version for a reduced output for leaner documents.
