educação transformadora: o projeto #poramoraomar como aprendizagem socioecológica

Abstract

This study investigates pathways toward transformative socio-environmental education. Qualitative research, using semi-structured questionnaires, analyzed the actions of Brazilian schools in the #PorAmorAoMar project, in partnership with UN Environment for #mareslimpos, aimed at addressing plastic as a systemic crisis. The analysis was based on Stephen Sterling's theory of transformative socio-ecological learning. The results indicated a broader contextualization of the topic, despite the challenges of addressing disposability, and signs of weakness in critical approaches and ongoing actions—essential to sustainability. This work highlights promising paths for redefining teacher training and school systems.
