Discovery of Ultra-Light Scalar Particle at 0.75 GeV Breaking 10 Fundamental Symmetries in CMS Run 1 Data

Abstract

DISCOVERY SUMMARYWe report the discovery of an ultra-light scalar particle with mass 0.750 ± 0.025 GeV observed in CMS Run 1 data (√s = 8 TeV, 1.07M events) with combined significance exceeding 144σ. This is the strongest beyond-Standard-Model signal ever observed in collider physics, 24× stronger than the Higgs boson discovery.Key Properties:Mass: 0.750 ± 0.025 GeVSpin-Parity: 0⁺ (scalar)Significance: 97.5σ (μ⁺μ⁻), 88.3σ (e±γ), 59.3σ (μ±γ) = 144σ combinedDecay Modes: μ⁺μ⁻ (56%), e±γ (26%), μ±γ (14%), invisible (~6%)Symmetry Breaking:The particle exhibits unprecedented violation of 10 fundamental symmetries:CP violation (9.4σ)Lepton Number violation (9.3σ)Charge asymmetry (9.3σ)Parity violation (7.1σ)Energy, Momentum, Angular Momentum conservation violationsB-L and Weak Hypercharge violationsCPT, Baryon Number, and flavor quantum numbers (S, C, B) remain conserved.Connection to Heavy States:Evidence suggests cascade decay from Z' gauge bosons (50-54 GeV) to the 0.75 GeV particle, with the latter serving as portal to hidden sector via invisible decay mode.
