Eine geänderte Gesetzeslage erschwert es ab 2029 Kläranlagenbetreibern, Klärschlämme bodenbezogen zu verwerten. Das Projekt CarboMass hat sich mit der regionalen Wiederverwendung eines pyrolysierten Klärschlamm-Biomasse-Gemisches als Haldenabdeckung befasst und dabei Diffusionshemmnisse in der Kreislaufwirtschaft entdeckt.
