Authors: Król, Roman;

Multibody dynamics model of the cycloidal gearbox with equal discretization of the cycloidal discs (Fortran sources)

Abstract

**************************************************************Author: Roman Król, Casimir Pulaski Radom University, Polandhttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-6279-9562 This version contains model with equal discretization of the cycloidal discs described in the article: "Multibody dynamics model of the cycloidal gearbox with uniform discretization of the cycloidal wheel envelope" (Journal: Archive of Mechanical Engineering, ISSN 0004-0738, e-ISSN 2300-1895, Polish Academy of Sciences, Committee on Machine Building) The cycloidal gearbox model was described in the article:"MULTIBODY DYNAMICS MODEL OF THE CYCLOIDAL GEARBOX, IMPLEMENTED IN FORTRAN FOR ANALYSIS OF THE DYNAMIC PARAMETERS INFLUENCED BY THE BACKLASH AS A DESIGN TOLERANCE"Authors: Roman Król, Kazimierz KrólJournal: Acta Mechanica et automatica, ISSN 1898-4088 The purpose of the given software for the cycloidal gearbox analysisis the presentation of results in the scientific article. The Author does not give any warranty for the software. ****************************************************************The given software was designed based on the followingliterature:1) P. E. Nikravesh, Planar Multibody Dynamics. 2018. doi: 10.1201/b22302.2) P. E. Nikravesh, Planar multibody dynamics: Formulation, programming and applications. 2007.3) P. Flores and H. M. Lankarani, Contact Force Models for Multibody Dynamics, vol. 226. Cham: Springer International Publishing, 2016. doi: 10.1007/978-3-319-30897-5.4) L. X. Xu, B. K. Chen, and C. Y. Li, “Dynamic modelling and contact analysis of bearing-cycloid-pinwheel transmission mechanisms used in joint rotate vector reducers,” Mechanism and Machine Theory, vol. 137, pp. 432–458, 2019, doi: 10.1016/j.mechmachtheory.2019.03.035. The methodology of the Multibody Dynamics modelling was performed based on [1] and [2]. **************************************************************** Usage of the results visualization software: 1) Compile the analysis software using compile.bat under Windows operating system. For compilation, the GNU Fortran compiler gfortran.exe is required. 2) Run cnmain.exe with analysis length 0.6 and the step size 1e-5 3) Place myforcesresults.txt and myresults.txt in the same folder with VisualizationApp.exe 4) Edit the MATRIX_SIZE.txt, it should contain the number of the rows in the myresults.txt file 5) Run the VisualizationApp.exe, the glew32.dll should be in the same folder.
