Abstract

Amphisbaena nigricauda Gans, 1966 (Fig. 5) Holotype. Adult female, MNRJ 3305, collected by F.M. Oliveira on 10 November 1964 at Sooretama Biological Reserve (19°03'24"S, 40°08'51"W [approximate]; 60 m asl [approximate]), Municipality of Sooretama [formerly Municipality of Linhares], State of Espírito Santo, Brazil. Paratypes. AMNH 97205, FMNH 264973. Remarks. The paratype FMNH 264973 was first catalogued in the Carl Gans personal collection (CG 3207) and then transferred to FMNH. No tissue samples available.
