Abstract

Perigonia glaucescens Walker, 1856 (Fig 5. B) General distribution. Endemic to Hispaniola. Distribution in the DR. Cordillera Central, Independencia and Barahona (Fig 2. A). Habitat. Elevation 650–1100 m asl. The insect generally flies at low elevations in areas that are heavily forested. It appears to be local but can be extremely frequent where it is found (Fig 9. F).
