Discurs d'odi i desinformació

Abstract

#GEDIS #SummerSchoolBarcelona

[eng] This Open Educational Resource (OER) was developed within the framework of the European GEDIS Project – Gender Diversity in Information Science: Challenges in Higher Education, which promotes gender equality and diversity through the creation and dissemination of open educational tools. The resource Hate Speech and Disinformation offers a historical and critical analysis of the invisible façades of totalitarianism and the role of women in socialist regimes. Its objective is to encourage reflection on the power of hate speech, disinformation, and misinformation as instruments of propaganda used to shape ideology, control public narratives, and silence dissent. Through documented examples and discussion questions, the resource addresses issues such as the so-called “solved woman question,” the denial of gender conflicts, the functionalist redefinition of motherhood, and the co-optation of political language. It invites teachers, students, and library staff to analyse how political discourse, information manipulation, and stereotypes continue to influence perceptions of gender equality. The material is complemented by academic and international references, including Sharkova (1967–1973), Sternadori (2013), UNESCO (2025), and Wardle (2024), which contextualise the debates on disinformation, hate speech, and historical memory. #GEDIS #SummerSchoolBarcelona
