Abstract

In tutta Europa, le forze politiche populiste di destra stanno mobilitando agende anti-parità di genere che minacciano i valori fondamentali della società democratica. Affinché gli altri partiti politici possano sviluppare politiche ben informate che promuovano la parità di genere e contrastino le narrative populiste di destra, è necessario disporre di dati empirici affidabili sui bisogni e sulle richieste dell’elettorato in materia di genere. Questo documento evidenzia l’importanza di garantire dati di opinione pubblica validi e affidabili per comprendere l’intero spettro dei bisogni e delle esigenze di genere della popolazione. Abbiamo condotto un’analisi empirica su larga scala delle domande relative al sesso/genere nei principali strumenti di rilevazione dell’opinione pubblica in Europa, analizzando un arco di 20 anni. Questo rapporto presenta i risultati relativi agli strumenti di rilevazione dell’opinione pubblica in Svizzera, mettendo in luce le principali lacune nel modo in cui i sondaggi attuali misurano i bisogni dell’elettorato e illustrando le relative implicazioni.
