Abstract

[spa] Este Recurso Educativo Abierto (REA) proporciona una guía práctica para docentes e instructores/as que imparten cursos introductorios de Informática y Tecnologías de la Información, con el objetivo de apoyar la participación y la permanencia de las mujeres en estos ámbitos académicos. El material ofrece un kit para instructores de dos semanas, con sugerencias metodológicas, actividades de bienvenida y estrategias de inclusión. Además, el OER incluye recomendaciones sobre acciones de apoyo, diseño de actividades prácticas y análisis de las dificultades que las estudiantes pueden encontrar en los cursos STEM. Forma parte del proyecto europeo GEDIS – Gender Diversity in Information Science, que promueve la inclusión y la perspectiva de género en la educación superior y en la investigación en el campo de las Ciencias de la Información. #GEDIS #SummerSchoolBarcelona

[eng] This Open Educational Resource (OER) provides a practical guide for lecturers and instructors teaching introductory courses in Computer Science and Information Technology, with the aim of supporting women’s participation and retention in these academic fields. The material offers a two-week instructor toolkit that includes methodological suggestions, welcoming activities, and inclusion strategies. In addition, the OER provides recommendations on support actions, the design of practical exercises, and an analysis of the challenges that female students may encounter in STEM courses. It is part of the European GEDIS Project – Gender Diversity in Information Science, which promotes inclusion and a gender perspective in higher education and research within the field of Information Science. #GEDIS #SummerSchoolBarcelona
