
In this study, the genome of Microcystis aeruginosa was sequenced and assembled from isolates obtained from the El Loto wetland, located in Llanquihue, Chile. High-throughput sequencing followed by de novo assembly facilitated the initial reconstruction of the genome. Subsequently, a reference-based mapping approach was employed, which significantly enhanced and refined the quality of the assembled genome. The publication includes the consesus assembled genome (genoma_cns_NoN.fasta), the 48 assembled scaffolds (mapped_scaffolds.fasta), and the functional annotation file obtained from Prokka characterization (Maeuroginosa.GFF and Maeuroginosa.FAA).
