Responsabilidad social empresarial y tratados de libre comercio: un estudio comparativo en Pymes de Jalisco, Quebec y Bogotá

Abstract

El presente artículo compara las prácticas de Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE) de micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas (pymes) en Jalisco (México), Quebec (Canadá) y Bogotá (Colombia). A partir del modelo teórico propuesto por Labelle y Navarrete (2018), se analizan factores institucionales, culturales y económicos que explican la convergencia o divergencia de dichas prácticas. Jalisco y Quebec han estado históricamente vinculados al Tratado de Libre Comercio de América del Norte (TLCAN, actualmente T-MEC), mientras que Colombia participa en otros acuerdos comerciales sin ser parte de ese bloque, lo que ofrece un marco comparativo para observar el potencial efecto isomórfico en la adopción de prácticas socialmente responsables. Con una metodología mixta (cuantitativa y cualitativa), se examina el grado de compromiso medioambiental, social y comunitario en un total de 600 pymes (200 por cada región). Los resultados muestran similitudes notables en algunos indicadores de RSE, especialmente en políticas de inclusión laboral y acciones comunitarias, pero también diferencias estadísticamente significativas en prácticas medioambientales y de gestión interna. Se concluye que los tratados comerciales inciden en ciertos comportamientos responsables, aunque su efecto es mediado por características culturales y estructurales propias de cada región.
