
The aim of this article is to present the Assessment Centre (AC) method as a tool for selecting candidates for special services and to discuss the role of behavioural indicators in assessing their psychological predispositions. The first part describes the genesis and characteristics of the AC method, emphasizing its high predictive accuracy and compliance with international standards. The second part analyses the importance of specific behavioural indicators (e.g. stress resistance, teamwork, decision-making) for diagnosing the competencies of candidates for special services. The article emphasises that a professionally designed Assessment Centre enables an objective assessment of key psychological characteristics of candidates, which facilitates the selection of the most predisposed individuals for service in formations requiring exceptional mental resilience.
Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie metody Assessment Centre (AC) jako narzędzia selekcji kandydatów do służb specjalnych oraz omówienie roli wskaźników behawioralnych w ocenie ich predyspozycji psychologicznych. W pierwszej części opisano genezę i charakterystykę metody AC, akcentując jej wysoką trafność prognostyczną i zgodność z międzynarodowymi standardami. W drugiej części przeanalizowano znaczenie konkretnych wskaźników behawioralnych (np. odporność na stres, praca w zespole, decyzyjność) dla diagnozy kompetencji kandydatów do służb specjalnych. Artykuł podkreśla, że profesjonalnie zaprojektowane Assessment Centre umożliwia obiektywną ocenę kluczowych cech psychologicznych kandydatów, co sprzyja doborowi najbardziej predysponowanych osób do służby w formacjach wymagających wyjątkowej odporności psychicznej.
