Abstract

El sector retail enfrenta un panorama complejo marcado por riesgos operacionales que impactan directamente en su sostenibilidad y rentabilidad. Problemas como los errores en inventarios, los fraudes en caja o las fallas en la distribución generan pérdidas económicas significativas y comprometen la confianza de los consumidores. En un mercado cada vez más competitivo, caracterizado por clientes exigentes y una presión constante hacia la eficiencia, se vuelve indispensable identificar y seleccionar estrategias de mitigación de riesgos que sean efectivas y adaptables. La literatura previa ofrece aproximaciones parciales, ya que gran parte de los estudios no integran de manera estructurada la priorización objetiva de alternativas bajo criterios múltiples, lo que limita la toma de decisiones fundamentada. Este trabajo aborda esa brecha mediante la aplicación combinada de los métodos Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) y Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), herramientas multicriterio que permiten ponderar factores como costos, impacto, tiempo y riesgo residual. Los resultados revelan que las soluciones tecnológicas, específicamente el control avanzado de inventarios y la automatización de reportes, superan a la capacitación intensiva en cuanto a reducción de pérdidas y eficiencia operativa. En consecuencia, la investigación no solo aporta un modelo replicable para otros sectores, sino también directrices prácticas para fortalecer la resiliencia del retail.
