Comportamiento de nanodispersión y térmico de sistemas ternarios Hule Natural/Arcilla/Dióxido de titanio

Abstract

El presente estudio trata sobre las características morfológicas y térmicas obtenidas en la formación de nanocompuestos de Hule Natural/Arcilla/Dióxido de titanio (HN/A/TiO2) obtenidos mediante un proceso de mezclado mecánico en látex. Se estudiaron las concentraciones de arcilla del 4% y de TiO2 del 3%. En algunos casos de caracterización se analizó también la concentración de 1% de TiO2. Se utilizaron las técnicas de caracterización de microscopia electrónica de barrido (SEM) y análisis termogravimétrico (TGA). Los resultados mostraron una buena distribución de aglomerados de arcilla menores a 5 m y una alta distribución-dispersión de agregados de TiO2 con promedio de 400 nm sobre la matriz de hule natural. El estudio térmico mostró que los componentes inorgánicos (arcilla y TiO2) generan una mayor estabilidad térmica o protección al calor a las macromoléculas del polímero natural y que el comportamiento de degradación es dependiente de la velocidad de calentamiento.
