
This dataset contains the raw experimental data supporting the study “Design and Evaluation of a Novel Expandable Gastroretentive Film for Sustained Metoprolol Release.” Data are organized into three sheets: Formulations – Compositions of sixteen film formulations (F1–F16) with varying HPMC and Carbopol concentrations. Characterization – Physical and mechanical evaluations, including thickness, weight uniformity, drug content, tensile strength, folding endurance, and swelling index. Release Kinetics – In vitro drug release profiles with kinetic model fitting (zero-order, first-order, Higuchi, Korsmeyer–Peppas).
