
The dataset contains the digitized full-text corpus of the Berlin daily newspaper "Der Tag", edition A (1900–1921). It is organized by year and issue, providing XML metadata files as well as page-level full-text transcriptions in ALTO XML format. "Der Tag" was published in Berlin until 1934, initially by the Scherl publishing house, then taken over by Deutsche Verlagsgesellschaft and sold to Alfred Hugenberg in 1916. It was among the first German newspapers to include photographs.
