Abstract

Knowledge transfer is defined as a collaborative process, where universities, Information and Communication Technologies, companies and society in general play a determining role. This new paradigm redefines the relationships established between higher education, the community and its tangible needs, allowing a more fluid interaction and the streamlining of responses, which is carried out in real time. It is not a matter of transmitting information, but of jointly producing knowledge, adapting to the demands of the digital society. In this context, innovation is emerging as the driving force of higher education, facilitating decision-making and problem-solving in vulnerable contexts. However, challenges such as the gap in the production of knowledge and technologies, as well as the commoditization of knowledge, continue to intensify, which requires new mechanisms to drive universities. The method used for the development of the research is that of documentary exploration. The conclusion is the need to promote collaborative networks, to make effective and efficient use of Information and Communication Technologies, substantially improving the transfer of knowledge, as a means of economic and social impulse.
