This document presents the advancements made in the first half of the AD4GD project on leveraging AI and HPC to support AD4GD research with a strong focus on pilot cases. The tasks carried in this work package focused on developing AI-powered tools for analyzing environmental data, predicting future conditions, and designing intuitive user interfaces. Specific AI applications include water level forecasting for Berlin lakes and connectivity map generation for Catalonia region. The integration of these tools with other AD4GD components is also discussed, highlighting their contribution to the overall project goals of promoting FAIR science practices and addressing environmental challenges.
