In the DFG funded project "Kommunikation und Sprache im Reich. Die Nürnberger Briefbücher im 15. Jahrhundert" a hybrid edition (print and online) of the Nuremberg Letterbooks 2–5 (1408–1423; archival signature: Staatsarchiv Nürnberg, Reichsstadt Nürnberg, Ratskanzlei, Briefbücher des Inneren Rates, Nr. 2–5) was created. The dataset consists of the final TEI-XML files that formed the basis for the hybrid edition. Each file contains a single entry in the Letterbooks in the form of two transcriptions (diplomatic and normalized) as well as the metadata. The filenames correspond to the IDs of the texts in the edition. Cf. the digital edition at www.briefbuecher.tf.fau.de.
