Abstract

Die Edition Jean Paul – Sämtliche Briefe digital erschließt die gesamte überlieferte Korrespondenz des Dichters, seiner Familie, Freund:innen und intellektuelle Weggefährt:innen. Sie verbindet die editorische Tradition der von Eduard Berend initiierten Druckausgabe mit drei Teilprojekten zur Digitalisierung, Vernetzung und Metadatenanreicherung der Briefe. Angesichts der umfangreichen, heterogenen Daten ist deren Dokumentation für ihre Wiederverwendbarkeit und Kohärenz im Gesamtkorpus substanziell. Das Paper erörtert einen Ansatz, der drei komplementäre Werkzeuge und Methoden verbindet: Datenmanagementplan (DMP), ODD-Schemata und Provence Ontology (PROV-O). Ihre Verzahnung ermöglicht eine FAIR-konforme Dokumentation komplexer Datenlebenszyklen, erweitert bestehende Praktiken und fördert den Austausch über eine nachhaltige Forschungsdatendokumentation.
