SAFEXPLAIN - Scenarios catalogue and Triggering Condition

Abstract

As the Horizon Europe funded project SafeXplain (https://safexplain.eu) is coming to an end in September 2025, exida Development is proud to publish its Scenarios catalogue and Triggering Condition. SafeXplain's mission has been to enable the use of Al in safety-critical system by closing the gap between AI capabilities and functional safety requirements. The Scenarios catalogue and Triggering Condition is our open source, primary owned result, and is part of the work we've carried out in the past three years as partners in this project. The purpose of the scenario catalogue is to define the set of scenarios to describe how the intended functionality works when a specific relevant situation occurs. It has been defined for each of the SAFEXPLAIN project use-case domains: Automotive, Railway and Aerospace.
