Offene Daten: Transparenz vs. Vertrauen

Abstract

Dieses Open Educational Resource (OER) behandelt das Spannungsfeld zwischen Transparenz und Vertrauen im Umgang mit offenen Daten. Es definiert den Begriff Open Data, beschreibt Vorteile wie verbesserten Zugang, wissenschaftliche Reproduzierbarkeit, mehr Innovation und ein höheres Zitierpotenzial, weist aber auch auf Risiken hin. Genannt werden unter anderem Fehlinformationen, rechtliche Konflikte, Publikationsgebühren, Verwaltungsaufwand sowie Missbrauchs- und Plagiatsgefahren. Das Material betont, dass Transparenz allein nicht ausreicht, sondern Vertrauen durch ethische Leitlinien, faire Finanzierung und wirksame Qualitätskontrollen gesichert werden muss. Ziel ist es, ein Bewusstsein für Chancen und Herausforderungen offener Daten zu schaffen und verantwortungsvolle Nutzung zu fördern.
