This is an easy-to-follow jupyter notebook and python package for unrolling XCT slices of cyclindrical cells into radial and angular co-ordinates. From the resulting unrolled slices we demonstrate how to fit archimedean spirals so that deviation from this ideal geometry can be obtained. Automatically detecting winding errors from XCT images may prove useful for battery quality control.
