
A city in the Mandara foothills in the ENC, Mora is subject to water erosion. The objective of this study is to assess the impact of this phenomenon on the development of the city. This study is based on direct observation. Primary data were collected from questionnaires and an interview guide sent to the population of Mora. Secondary data were collected from the Mora town hall; from certain delegations of the Mayo-Sava ministries and agencies such as ENEO, CAMTEL, CAMWATER of Mora and supplemented by documentary sources. The results of this study show that water erosion influences the establishment of socio-economic infrastructure. 95 homes, 11 water points, 13 shops and stores and 02 bridges were identified that were destroyed in 09 neighborhoods of Mora in the last five years.
