Comercio internacional del Ecuador y desacuerdos externos: Consecuencias económicas en el período 2020-2024

Abstract

Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar las consecuencias económicas de los desacuerdos externos en el comercio internacional del Ecuador durante el periodo 2020-2024, centrándose en productos estratégicos como el camarón, banano y cacao. La investigación se desarrolla bajo un enfoque mixto, utilizando métodos descriptivos, explicativos y correlacionales. En el componente cualitativo, se aplicó un análisis documental de normativas, informes oficiales y reportes de organismos internacionales como la OMC, CEPAL y el Banco Central del Ecuador. A nivel cuantitativo, se utilizaron técnicas estadísticas para examinar datos históricos de exportaciones, evaluando la relación entre las barreras comerciales y la reducción del comercio exterior. Los resultados evidencian que los desacuerdos comerciales, como el caso de las tensiones con México, han generado efectos negativos directos sobre las exportaciones ecuatorianas, especialmente por la imposibilidad de concretar tratados comerciales clave. Entre las principales conclusiones, se destaca la vulnerabilidad de los sectores productivos frente a factores externos y la necesidad de fortalecer la resiliencia comercial del país. Asimismo, se plantea la importancia de diversificar mercados y mejorar la estrategia negociadora del Ecuador para reducir su dependencia de pocos socios y aumentar su competitividad en el entorno internacional.
