CICLES is the annual report of CREAF, a public research center of the Catalan CERCA system. The objectives of CICLES are: (1) to highlight the research that CREAF has carried out during the last year and (2) to offer a vision of its management, successes, challenges, and failures. Each edition of CICLES revolves around a central theme. This edition revolves around the idea of ‘regeneration,’ a concept that embodies learning, resilience, and the drive for transformation. In 2024, regeneration has been a defining theme—visible in nature, slowly recovering after a long drought, and at CREAF, where new plans, partnerships, and projects are taking shape to tackle major environmental challenges.
