Abstract

Parocerus laurifoliae (Vilbaste, 1965) (Figs 4F–N) Idiocerus laurifoliae Vilbaste, 1965: 36. Parocerus laurifoliae (Vilbaste): Vilbaste, 1980: 63. Diagnosis. Body brownish. Crown ochraceous with brown markings (Fig. 4F). Face yellowish except brown anterior margin (Fig. 4G). Pronotum ochraceous, anterior margin yellow; anterior half with pair of arched eyebrowlike brown stripes, with white markings below this stripe (Fig. 4F). Material examined. 7♀♀, China, Xizang Autonomous Region, Shigatse City, Renbu Village, Xiubagang, 2022.vii.10, 3775m, coll. Qingquan Xue (NWAFU); 1♀, China, Xizang Autonomous Region, Lhasa City, 2017. vii.24, coll. Lin Zhou (NWAFU); 1♀, China, Xizang Autonomous Region, Lhasa City, 2017.vii.26, coll. Lin Zhou (NWAFU). Distribution. China (Jilin, Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Xizang), Russia, South Korea. Remarks. This species is one of the largest species in Idiocerini. Most species of Idiocerini measure 3.0–5.0 mm in body length, but in this species the body length ranges from 6.5 mm to 7.3 mm. The pronotum with eyebrowlike arched brown stripes readily distinguish this species from other species of Idiocerini.
