Abstract

Quaestus (Quaestus) acuminatus Salgado, 1999 (Fig. 41) Quaestus (Quaestus) acuminatus Salgado, 1999a: 211; figs. 2–5. Current accepted name Quaestus acuminatus Salgado, 1999: Fresneda et al., 2024: 487. Type locality Cueva la Xiana [original citation: “ Cueva la Xiana ... in Tospe (Municipality of Arriondas, Asturias, Spain)”]. Type material Paratypes: MZB 98-0901 / MZB 98-0907, MZB 2010-0178, MZB 2017-1385 / MZB 2017-1387 (4 ♂♂, 7 ♀♀), Cueva de Pico de Biesques, 9-IX-1995, J. M. Salgado & D. Rodríguez leg. Remarks Type series consisting of 177 ♂♂ and 303 ♀♀ from eight caves in Asturias (Salgado, 1999a). Male holotype and female allotype deposited in the CZULE; paratypes deposited in other collections: ACC, CZULE, MNHNP and PMGC (Salgado, 1999a). Fresneda & Salgado (2016) indicated that paratypes from the Cueva la Cueva and Cueva de los Padrones are deposited in the MCNB; nevertheless, we have only been able to find the specimens from the aforementioned Cueva de Pico de Biesques.
