Joint Modeling of Line and Point Data on Metric Graphs - code

Joint Modeling of Line and Point Data on Metric Graphs - code

Abstract

We provide supplementary code to the existing MetricGraph (MetricGraph) for representing point and line support for models in inlabru (inlabru). The code is also available from fmesher (branch "MetricGraphPaper"), where it is under development for being included in existing libraries. This version of the code (metric_graph.R) was used to generate results for the paper "Joint Modeling of Line and Point Data on Metric Graphs", which pre-print is available on arXiv: https://arxiv.org/abs/2505.01175 We include geometries that are used to construct the graph (road.gpkg) and four bus line trajectories (line1.gpkg, line2.gpkg, line3.gpkg, line4.gpkg). These are constructed from OpenStreetMap, and then modified manually in QGIS for our application specifically. We include a minimal example of using the code on a small example graph in Minimal_example_line_support.R, which demonstrates how to use the new methods. simulation_study.R shows how the results in the simulation study in Section 5 of "Joint Modeling of Line and Point Data on Metric Graphs" is generated.

Keywords
