3D Cranial Point Cloud Dataset of Infant Cranial Morphologies: Brachycephaly, Dolichocephaly, Plagiocephaly, Normocephaly, Towering, and Trigonocephaly– 60 Photomedas Cases

Abstract

Data from 60 real cases obtained through mobile photogrammetry with the PhotoMeDAS (Photogrammetric Medical Deformation Assessment Solutions) . The dataset covers a wide range of infant cranial morphologies, including brachycephaly, dolichocephaly, plagiocephaly, normocephaly, towering, and trigonocephaly. Keywords:3D Cranial Models, PhotoMeDAS, Photogrammetry, Brachycephaly, Dolichocephaly, Plagiocephaly, Normocephaly, Towering, Trigonocephaly. *PhotoMeDAS (Photogrammetric Medical Deformation Assessment Solutions) is a creation of the GIFLE Research Group at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). For nearly 20 years, GIFLE has been a pioneer in the development of technologies related to photogrammetry, computer vision, laser scanning, and remote sensing. Composed of experts in Geomatics Engineering, our group operates at the academic, institutional, and commercial levels, with a strong focus on R&D&i (Research, Development, and Innovation). The majority of our research, innovation, and technology transfer efforts are focused on the development of custom software, commissioned by companies and institutes looking to adopt cutting-edge technology. The results and advances of our work are regularly shared at conferences and scientific journals. We are on the verge of achieving our most ambitious goal to date: developing a medical device that could transform the practice of pediatric medicine.
