This document describes substations in order to give the future user an idea of how they might be used. In operations, subarray templates (with and without substation usage) will be available to the user and are further explored in the Observatory Establishment and Delivery Plan. These templates represent the first version of the configurations the SKAO plans to support during operations and serves to enable planning of observations.
