Abstract

Tato kniha má přinést komplexní souhrn podiatrie a zdůraznit důležitost péče o naše spoluobčany, kteří syndromem diabetické nohy a jeho jednotlivými komponentami trpí. Důležitost podiatrie a podiatrické péče vnímáme již na počátku celého procesu vzniku syndromu diabetické nohy, kdy je třeba pacienty s rizikem této komplikace aktivně vyhledávat a určit u nich míru rizika vzniku syndromu diabetické nohy. Dispenzarizace těchto nemocných je nezbytná, a zejména jejich edukace s praktickými ukázkami péče o nohy a preventivního obouvání. Mnohdy tuto dispenzární péči mají na starosti již specializované podiatrické ambulance pro diabetiky, které jsou schopny pojmout komplexněji šíři podiatrického problému. V rámci těchto zařízení pracují renomovaní specialisté, kteří se orientují v poměrně široké problematice podiatrické péče, kterou jak se přesvědčíte v této publikaci, musí obsáhnout, pokud chtějí o podiatricjé pacienty pečovat.
