Through this survey analysis, the Sustainable Erasmus+ Travel (SET) project, together with partner universities and student organisations, addresses the gap between students’ environmental awareness and actual travel behaviour. Research shows that sustainable practices are widely supported yet barriers such as higher train costs, longer travel times, and limited incentives hinder greener choices. Through surveys and building on earlier Green Erasmus initiatives, the project explores solutions to better align Erasmus+ mobility with EU climate goals.
