Alopecia areata (AA) is a non-scarring, autoimmune condition characterized by sudden and patchy hair loss, typically on the scalp but potentially affecting any hair-bearing area. The psychological impact of AA is profound, particularly in children, who may face embarrassment, low self-esteem, and social withdrawal due to visible hair loss. This case study focuses on a 21-year-old girl who developed alopecia areata on the scalp, leading to emotional trauma and social challenges. Allopathic treatments were unsuccessful, prompting her parents to explore homeopathic care. Over the course of 12 months of constitutional homeopathic treatment at Dr Batra’s, there was visible hair regrowth, significant improvement in confidence, and no relapse, highlighting the holistic and gentle approach of homeopathy in chronic autoimmune cases.
