ESTIMATIVA DO POTENCIAL EÓLICO DO BRASIL: UM ESTUDO QUANTITATIVO

Abstract

A energia eólica tem se consolidado como uma das principais fontes renováveis no Brasil,impulsionada por sua elevada capacidade técnica e potencial natural. Este artigo apresentauma análise quantitativa da energia eólica no território nacional, destacando os municípios eregiões com maior velocidade média dos ventos e, consequentemente, maior viabilidade paraa geração desse tipo de energia. A pesquisa utilizou dados médios anuais de velocidade dovento em todosos municípios brasileiros, com o objetivo de identificar as áreas maispromissoras para o desenvolvimento de projetos eólicos. Os resultados confirmam a amplavantagem da região Nordeste, especialmente em estados como Rio Grande do Norte, Ceará eBahia, que concentram os melhores indicadores. A região Sul, embora com menor destaque,também apresenta potencial relevante, sobretudo no Rio Grande do Sul. O estudo evidenciaque a distribuição espacial dos ventos no Brasil favorece a expansão da matriz energética combase em fontes limpas e sustentáveis. Conclui-se que o aproveitamento adequado dessas áreaspode fortalecer ainda mais o setor elétrico nacional, reduzir a dependência de fontes fósseis econtribuir para o cumprimento das metas climáticas brasileiras.
