LA CORNETA. INTRODUCCIÓN Y TIPOS

Abstract

The cornet is a metal wind instrument whose presence has been linked to two very specific contexts: Holy Week and the military world especially associated with different warning sounds. Although, it’s most musical use is above all linked to the Drum and Bugle Bands. This research aims to identify and describe the existing types of horns, thus making an approach to both the technical characteristics and the scope that each of the types described reaches. For this, a qualitative study of a descriptive nature has been carried out where different aspects such as the scope or the different parts that constitute them are deepened. Thus, a tour of the horns with one, two and three pistons is offered, delving into the different parts. The different mechanics of each of the bugles described makes them have a different scope due to their structural characteristics.
