This study investigates the role of the Positive Statistics Methodology (PSM) in predicting indicators of psychological and professional competence among educational counselors in Iraq. Employing a descriptive–correlational design, the research was conducted on a stratified random sample of 120 counselors working in public schools in Baghdad. Standardized instruments were utilized, including the Positive Statistics tools (PEL, CPAL, RLL), alongside a validated scale measuring psychological and professional competence. The findings demonstrated a statistically significant correlation between the application of Positive Statistics and enhanced levels of competence, with the positive statistical dimensions explaining 45% of the variance. These results underscore the capacity of PSM not only to reveal statistical associations but also to provide a developmental and predictive framework that contributes to strengthening counselors’ psychological resilience and professional performance. Furthermore, the study offers practical recommendations for incorporating PSM into training and professional development programs to enhance the quality of educational guidance services.
