Abstract

Description: In the era of open science and increasingly data-driven research environments, data management plans (DMPs) have become a critical pillar for the integrity and efficiency of academic research. In research institutions, inadequate data management can result in the loss of valuable information, hinder the reproducibility of studies, and limit the ability to conduct effective analyses and collaborations. Methodology used in this study is documentary, descriptive and exploratory. Objective: The research question was: What are the key components typically included in a data management plan? Results: Key findings include the identification of successful strategies for developing DMPs and areas for improvement in the Institute's current practices. Conclusion: The main conclusions highlight that well-structured data management not only optimizes research resources and processes but also enhances quality and confidence in scientific results.
