Introducción al uso de datos NASA Earthdata Cloud para el monitoreo de cambios y disturbios ambientales

Abstract

Este recurso contiene las diapositivas del taller Introducción al uso de datos NASA Earthdata Cloud para el monitoreo de cambios y disturbios ambientales, una adaptación al español del curso desarrollado por NASA, 2i2c y MetaDocencia. La versión en español fue presentada por Eliana Gonzalez y Maira Patricia Gayol, con la colaboración de Jesica Formoso, en el marco de las actividades de MetaDocencia. El taller introduce los fundamentos de la teledetección y sus aplicaciones en problemáticas ambientales, describe las características de satélites y sensores, los sistemas de coordenadas de referencia y los formatos ráster y vectorial. Presenta los productos OPERA de la NASA y el uso de la plataforma NASA Earthdata, así como el procesamiento en la nube a través del hub de 2i2c. Como caso de estudio, se analiza la deforestación en Maranhão (Amazonia), guiando a las personas participantes en la búsqueda, descarga, procesamiento y análisis de datos satelitales. Las actividades prácticas permiten afianzar el aprendizaje y familiarizarse con herramientas y datos reales. El material incluye enlaces a recursos complementarios y documentación oficial, y está disponible para su consulta abierta.
