This contains the MATLAB scripts used to track and analyze extreme air masses in MERRA-2 in the paper "A Worldwide Climatology of Extreme Air Masses," first submitted August 2025. This also contains two .mat files that show when and where extreme air masses occur if using our default parameters. This research was funded by the HiLAT-RASM project and conducted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a PhD at Indiana University.
