Author & Project details This document was written by Henk Venner as part of the Interreg Project CAMBIUM: Cambium: boslandbouw integraal - Agroforestry Content Are you planning to grow, trade, and/or process nuts or fruits? This overview outlines the key aspects of legislation and regulations you may encounter. Starting as an entrepreneur, when planting trees or shrubs, and continuing throughout the process as a grower, processor, or seller. Are you starting a farm? Or do you have a hobby business according to the rules of the Chamber of Commerce (KVK)? Then register by logging in with your DigiD (private individuals) or eHerkenning (companies and organizations) at MijnRVO. After logging in for the first time, you will receive a customer number. If you have farm animals (e.g., cows, sheep, pigs), if you want to apply for a subsidy (such as the combined declaration), or if you rent or lease agricultural land, you must register with RVO. As a farmer or horticulturist, you have obligations arising from a considerable number of laws relating to the environment, safety, and other matters. It would be too extensive to cover them all in this fact sheet. The most important issues are discussed.
