American AI Education Build AI Abstraction Platform

Abstract

Abstract: Build-Your-Own AI Model Toolkit This toolkit guides users to design AI models from scratch using structured prompts and abstract forms. The worksheet enables symbolic planning; the report explains the method. Together, they foster conceptual understanding, creativity, and systems-level thinking in AI development. The Build-Your-Own AI Model Toolkit is an educational resource designed to facilitate hands-on exploration of artificial intelligence model construction. It comprises two components: a structured worksheet and a companion report. The worksheet provides an open-ended, symbolic framework for students and practitioners to design AI systems from first principles. By guiding the user through stages—such as input format, embedding equations, core architecture (e.g., Transformer, RNN), attention flow, training strategy, and evaluation metrics—the tool invites critical thinking and reflective modeling. The goal is to shift cognition from passive consumption of models to active creation. The companion report contextualizes the worksheet as a pedagogical scaffold. It highlights the template’s value in fostering structured reasoning, abstraction, and iterative design. It demonstrates applications across classroom learning, research prototyping, and interdisciplinary projects where conceptual clarity is foundational to technical depth. Together, the documents abstract AI modeling into a symbolic and modular process, emphasizing intellectual engagement over coding specificity. This format cultivates systems-level thinking and can serve as a bridge to more advanced model implementation or algorithmic development. By Travis RC Stone July 29, 2025 This modular educational platform provides a symbolic, reflective workspace for learners, educators, and innovators to design, explore, and conceptualize artificial intelligence (AI) systems across all levels of experience. Through an intuitive, tab-based interface, users engage with open-ended prompts that guide them through core aspects of intelligent system design—such as purpose definition, input-output abstraction, modular transformation logic, adaptive strategies, and philosophical grounding. Unlike rigid curriculum tools, this platform embraces ambiguity and abstraction to foster creativity, critical thinking, and cross-disciplinary application. It serves as a scaffold for designing AI architectures not through code first, but through conceptual clarity, enabling users to externalize, structure, and iterate on ideas in a flexible, accessible environment. By shifting the focus from technical implementation to conceptual architecture, this tool empowers diverse users—from students and teachers to researchers and visionaries—to build, reflect on, and evolve models of intelligence that are both structurally thoughtful and adaptable to emerging AI challenges.
